Enam-Ul Haque Chowdhury was born and studied in Bangladesh before leaving for the UK in 1986 to study Business Management at Luton University. After completing his studies he moved to Swindon to gain business experience with his father in law at his restaurant (The Khyber st.1962).
Realising his ambitions for the catering industry Mr Chowdhury opened his first restaurant the Ganges Indian Takeaway in 1991 which became an instant his within the locals in the area. This gave him the inspiration and confidence to open his second business, the Ganges Indian Restaurant in 1993. These businesses have won many awards and accolades for him.
GreenTech Developers has established its reputation with over 35 years of experience in San Francisco and Bay Area construction industry. Our company specializes in all aspects residential roofing, residential solar, commercial solar and other construction projects. The GreenTech team takes on the highest level commercial projects to the smallest house roof repairs with meticulousness and precision. GreenTech provides elite workmanship utilizing a professional team of in-house labor and licensed qualified contractors.
Mr Chowdhury’s varied business interests include catering, investment and property development in the United Kingdom and Bangladesh. He is the founder of MIJ group which business includes MIJ international Investment, MIJ Catering and MIJ Properties. He is one of the Directors of the five stars hotel Dhaka Regency located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
He is the founder of Thahiria Mohila Academy (Titel) in Shabagh, Zakigonj, Shlhet, Bangladesh. An Executive member of Wootton Bassett Chamber of Commerce, A member of Wiltshire Business club, an Executive Director of UK-Bangladesh Business Council (UKBBC), The life member of London Bangla Press club, National Executive Member of Bangladesh Catering Association, active member of Conservative party, member of conservative Muslim forum and a member of British Asian Conservative Link. He is a member and actively involved in the international Rotary Club, he has Assisted in various charitable project he was joint secretary and actively involved in the Rotary club of Sylhet and Dhaka in Bangladesh. He is member of William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation Millennium Network. He is a civilian sponsor for International student of DEFENCE ACADEMY of The United Kingdom since 1999.
In 2009 Enam with other high profile member of the Non Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) community from UK, Europe, Canada, USA, Africa and Middle East created the NRB Worldwide Foundation (nrbwf.org) which is non-profit, non-partisan Organisation focused on the development and promotion of the knowledge and skill as a common base for intellectual exchange to support the enrichment of Bangladesh.
Mr Chowdhury has been awarded the Special Citizen Privilege Category” A” (CIP) from the Government of Bangladesh. He has attended many international seminars and conferences including one in October 2009 titled ‘IDEAD and INNOVATION for the Development of Bangladesh: THE NEXT DECADE’ at HARVARD UNIVERSITY, Boston, UAS. He met various head of states, leaders and academics including USA president Bill Clinton. He is a member of the Wiltshire Golf Club. Mr Chowdhury tied knot with Jasmin Chowdhury many years ago and they blessed with three sons.
